The North American Motor Officers Association is a non profit organization concerned with police motorcycle training in the Pacific Northwest.
Specifically, the majority of our membership is from Washington, Oregon, Idaho & British Columbia, Alberta & Saskatchewan Canada. Our annual membership varies from 200 – 400 members. We also have members from around the United States, some as far as from the State of Kentucky. The North American Motor Officer Association is a 501(C)(3) organization (Tax ID #93-1087246). Donations to NAMOA are tax deductible.
Our Mission:
Provide effective, proficient and uniform police motor operations training during our annual conference; and to encourage safety, participation, cooperation and exchange information between police motor officers and between law enforcement agencies with police motor programs.
Objectives & Goals:
The North American Motor Officers Association promotes traffic safety through education and awareness to police motors and civilian riders; to lobby for motorcycle safety laws and police motor training; and to provide police motor training officers, training programs, police motor selection processes and general information for law enforcement agencies and law enforcement training academies.
Our annual NAMOA training conference brings together local business and related national industries with the community and motorcycle police officers throughout the Northwest and beyond.
2012 marked the 30th anniversary of the annual NAMOA conference. The North American Motor Officers Association began with the simple idea of bringing motor officers together from around the Pacific Northwest to share ideas about training, improve on police motorcycle operator skills, and exchange information which impacts motor officers on a daily basis.
