Countdown to NAMOA Conference 2019

NAMOA Members, Vendors, and Supporters:

We are nearing the 6 month count down to the 2019 NAMOA Training Conference in Eugene,Oregon.  The EPD Motor Unit has been working extremely hard for the last several months coordinating a great conference for all of us this May. Association Treasurer Joe Goodrich and myself met with the entire conference committee last week, and all of the logistics seem well in hand. The host hotel, The Valley River Inn; is located right along my the Willamette River, just a few miles off the I-5 freeway, and best of all attached to the training pad. The double occupancy room rate is $115/per night.

Remember the conference begins on Wednesday, May 15 and will continue daily through Friday, May 17; at which time the member banquet will be held at the end of the day Friday.  Rider check in will begin on Tuesday, May 14 anytime between 2 and5 pm, and will resume early Wednesday morning prior to the rider briefing and opening ceremony.

Now is the time to begin registering and making your hotel reservations.   In order to ensure the conference committee can properly plan for lunches, registrations, the banquet, etc;getting the correct and most accurate information is critical.  Please get yourself, your teams, and any supporting vendor registration done in the next few months.  Registration can be made very easily via our NAMOA web site (www.NAMOA.org).

Whether your coming from Canada, Nevada, Washington, Idaho or within the great state of Oregon; now is the time to start filling out those training applications and sending your command those travel memos.  We certainly hope to see our friends back from Carson City, Nevada; and through some recent networking we may also have some new members attending from Ft. Worth, Texas, and perhaps California. That’s right folks we hope to be having some new members attending this year. All the more reason to join us in order to be able to enhance your professional contacts, and identify new skills associated with these agencies.

Open the training outline for the 3 day conference (some modifications may occur) for those of you who need to attach the schedule to your training requests.

One last mention which is very important. We are still looking for an agency or group of agencies to team up and commit to hosting the 2020 NAMOA Training Conference.   Please discuss the possibility with your training groups and agencies. It would be nice to have a small presentation from each interested group at this years conference. If you have any questions as to what it entails to host a conference, please reach out to me and we can reassure you it is a great experience.

Ride safe and enjoy the remaining holiday season with family and friends.  Be well and Enjoy the day!
