The North American Motor Officers Association – NAMOA is a non-profit organization. Our primary membership is from Washington, Oregon, Idaho, British Columbia, and Alberta, Canada. However, we have members from around the United States. Our annual training conference hosts motor officers from not only the Northwest, but from around the United States and Canada.
The annual police motorcycle training conference is an opportunity for police motor officers to train and improve their ride skills. More importantly, it is an opportunity for supporting companies to show off the new products and services for the year. The training conference also provides an opportunity for thousands of citizens to watch and interact with police officers from all over the Northwest and beyond in a 3 day period. Motor officers often learn new skills they can take home with them which will help them be more safe at work.
The North American Motor Officers Association annual conference has been a leader in police motorcycle training in the Pacific Northwest for over 37 years.
The primary goals and objectives of the NAMOA are to provide effective, proficient and uniform police motor operations training; and to encourage safety, participation, cooperation and exchange information between police motor officers and between law enforcement agencies with police motor programs.
Additionally, NAMOA promotes traffic safety through education and awareness to police motors and civilian riders; to lobby for motorcycle safety laws and police motor training; and to provide police motor training officers, training programs, police motor selection processes and general information for agencies and training academies.
